Application to Ph.D. with a Bachelor’s Degree
Applications for Doctoral Programs with a Bachelor’s Degree Required Documents and Important Information
1) Passport Photo (in JPG format with maximum size of 2 MB)
2) ALES / GRE Certificate
A minimum ALES quantitative/ GRE General Test quantitative score required by the program the prospective student applies for. Note that these exams are valid for 5 years.
ALES Exam Result will be retrieved from Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) during online application and this information will be used in application evaluation. If a GRE General Test quantitative score will be used in the application process, the applicant must manually enter its information into the online application system and upload the GRE exam document as a PDF file to the system.
For international applicants: Those who cannot meet the ALES or GRE score requirement can apply with conditional GRE. The applications of these candidates will be evaluated by the jury based on a GRE General Test Quantitative score of 161. International students enrolled with conditional GRE condition must submit their GRE exam result documents, which provide at least 161 GRE General Test quantitative score requirement, to the Registrar’s Office within 30 days from the start of the courses in the semester they are enrolled. Students who do not submit their exam documents within this period are dismissed from the programme. Furthermore, international students enrolled with the conditional GRE requirement are required to obtain a grade of 3.00 (BB) or higher out of 4.00 in each of at least 3 (three) compulsory or technical elective courses that they take from their department/programme in the first academic semester they take courses. Students who fail to meet this condition are also dismissed from the programme.

3) Educational Information (Bachelors)
Educational information (University Name, Department, GPA, grade system, etc.) of candidates who have completed their undergraduate education in Turkey will be retrieved from Higher Education Information System (YÖKSİS) during the online application and this information will be used in application evaluation. Before submitting their applications, candidates are required to check their educational information via e-Government (while graduated candidates should check their graduation certificate, and if there is inadequacy and/or incompatibility in their information, they should contact the University where they will graduate or graduated from so as to make the necessary corrections. The graduated candidates that cannot see their graduation certificate on the e-Government should contact the university they graduated from so that the university transfers their graduation info on YÖKSİS and e-Government.
Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education abroad will manually enter their information into the system. It is required that candidates upload the Bachelors graduation certificate (diploma/interim certificate of graduation/ graduation certificate retrieved from e-government with a legible barcode) to the online application system as PDF file.
4) Turkish or English Undergraduate Transcript
It is required to upload a wet signed/ e-signed with a verification code or a transcript taken from the Higher Education Institution from which the candidate has graduated, or a transcript retrieved from e-government to the online application system as PDF file (As a merged, single PDF file if the document consists of multiple pages).
Among the graduated candidates those who will apply with the transcripts in e-Government, should check the information on the transcripts and if there is inadequacy and/or incompatibility in their information, or if f there is no information in the education status section that s/he graduated, they should contact the University where they graduated from so that the university makes the necessary corrections in the transcript on the e-Government.
To be able to apply, candidates are required to have a minimum 3.00 graduation GPA in 4-point grading system or an equivalent GPA.
Unsigned transcripts taken from the student information system and/or transcripts uploaded to the system with missing pages will not be accepted and the application will be considered invalid.
Candidates who apply with a transcript in a language other than Turkish or English are required to upload their original transcripts along with the certified translations of their transcripts in Turkish or English as a merged, single PDF file (all pages must be legible) to the application system.

5) Foreign Language Exam Result Document
In order to apply, applicants must have a minimum score of 55 from YÖKDİL, YDS, e-YDS exams (taken within the past 5 years) or a minimum score of 66 from the TOEFL IBT Test (taken within the past 2 years).
YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL exam scores will be retrieved from ÖSYM during online application. In case of application with a YÖKDİL score taken before the fall of 2019 or with TOEFL (IBT), the applicant must manually enter their information into the online system and upload YÖKDİL or TOEFL (IBT) documents as PDF files to the system.
Foreign applicants: If they do not satisfy the TOEFL (IBT) score requirement, then they can apply for TOEFL (IBT) conditionally. The TOEFL (IBT) exam result documents that meet the TOEFL (IBT) score requirement must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office within 30 days after the courses of the semester the student registered to begin. Students who do not submit their exam documents within this timeframe are dismissed from the program.

6) Motivation letter (Turkish or English)
Important Information for Application!
Applications for graduate programs started on November 15 and will end on 12 December 2024 (at 17.00.)
To apply for Doctoral (with a Bachelor’s) degree, candidates who satisfy the graduation requirements, the minimum ALES / GRE score requirements of these programs specified in the link below, English exam score requirements as well as the other requirements mentioned above, should apply online and upload all the required documents (Barcode, Datamatrix, Verification code if available) to the application system in PDF format. These documents are required to be complete and legible. Applications of the candidates who upload incomplete, incorrect or fake documents and do not replace the application requirements will be considered invalid. Candidates can apply for a maximum of two doctoral degree programs.
Documents delivered personally, via post or e-mail are not accepted.

English Preparatory Class Exemption Procedures: The language of instruction at our Institute is 100% English. After the announcement of the application results to the graduate programs, only the candidates accepted to the programs by the IZTECH School of Foreign Languages will be asked to enter information about their English exemption status and upload documents to the application system.
